Transcreation is an Anglicism derived from the two English words “translation” and “creation” and represents a marketing approach aimed at adapting an advertising message to a foreign country or culture.
A true creative process, transcreation goes beyond the simple literal translation of a slogan or a brand. Adaptation affects all aspects of an advertising campaign: the message itself, the photos, the videos, the intentions, the emotions, etc. The goal is to achieve the same impact wherever the message is used, regardless of cultural differences.
